Help the Village of Ruidoso : We thank you for your support!

As of Wednessday, July 17, 2024

RUIDOSO, N.M. — Sadly it looks like we are going to be getting rain through next week. Please prepare yourself. Go get sandbags, stock up on food and water in case you are stuck in one place for a while or in case you get evacuated. Make a plan to have yourself and your pets ready to go if needed. Most important stay safe. We are still planning to be open at 26465 Billy the Kid Trl, (weather permitting.) We are on a higher ground and usually don't get affected however the roads around us do.

It has been brought to my attention that most of the other distribution centers are closing. We are not associated with anyone, we are independent and started distributing donations to help the residents of Ruidoso. If you would like to donate and help the residents as well please CLICK HERE to send your donation. Ruidoso will recover with your help.

The following roads are closed:

  • Mechem and Brady Canyon
  • Paradise Canyon
  • Cree Meadows and Hull
  • Cree Meadows and Wiley

Crews continue to mop up and begin to repair actions taken by firefighters to prevent the South Fork and Salt fires from growing. Cooperators, and utility providers are working to address service needs for communities. As a reminder, conditions are dynamic and will remain that way through the duration of the incident. Maintain awareness and reduce your speed while traveling through the area.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE SOUTH FORK BURN SCAR UNTIL 10:00 PM. This is a dangerous and life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order. Please stay away from low water crossings. BE READY TO EVACUATE AT A MOMENTS NOTICE!
